According to some reports, Apple is using a new screw to prevent the iPhone 4 being apart.
It is said that Apple will replace new screws called Pentalobe for iPhone 4 which has been sent to the United States store, to prevent it from dismantled. Currently how many screws will be replaced, it is unclear, but sources said this move is the routine operation for U.S. Apple store.
Apple product repair and parts suppliers’ iFixit’s CEO Carl Wayne said this action was to prevent iPhone from disassembling and replace the battery. He pointed that he had already found Apple has replaced the screw last November. California IFixit is known as dismantling Apple products, they can disintegrate new product just within minutes or even hours after the releasing.
This screw is different other general screw, it is said that this screws can distinguish the copy products and original products, it is really elaborate measures.
